HIT-AND-RUN INVESTIGATION
Seeking the public’s assistance 

LONDON, ON (June 3, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run earlier this week.

On June 1, 2022, at approximately 11:15 a.m., a male pedestrian was struck by the open door of a moving vehicle in the area of Byron Avenue and Birch Street.

The driver allegedly opened the door of the vehicle, entered into an argument with the victim, and proceeded to reverse the car, striking the pedestrian in the process.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle is described as small black hatchback, possibly a Mazda, with winter tires.

The driver is described as male, Caucasian, between 30-40 years of age, with short dark hair, wearing a button-down shirt.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident or the involved driver, is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
