LONDON, ON (April 17, 2025) – A London man is facing multiple charges after a robbery yesterday evening.
On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at approximately 8 p.m., a man entered a business in the area of Baseline Road and Wharncliffe Road South, where he proceeded to select items from shelves and conceal them inside a bag. The man selected additional items, walked to the payment area and paid for the property in his hands.
A loss prevention officer observed the man conceal the unpaid items, and when he proceeded to leave the store, he approached the suspect male and asked him to pay for the unpaid property.
The suspect assaulted the loss prevention officer and fled from the store on foot without paying.
Police were contacted and attended the area, locating the suspect nearby.
When officers advised the suspect that he was under arrest, he resisted police. During the arrest, he assaulted an officer.
A search yielded the stolen items.
There were no reported injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Nicholas Tulk, 28, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
